Veteran Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor passed away at 67 in Mumbai.

Bollywood legend and megastar Amitabh Bachchan has tweeted about this sad news.

Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Rishi Kapoor… gone… passed away. I am destroyed !”

Rishi Kapoor was hospitalized on Wednesday morning at HN Reliance Foundation Hospital Mumbai. He was hospitalized after he complained that he was not feeling well. Actor brother, Randhir Kapoor confirmed that the actor was taken to H.N. Reliance Hospital in Mumbai. “He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and he has some breathing problems, so he has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable now,” Randhir Kapoor had then said, reported PTI.

Rishi Kapoor’s death comes a day after the sudden death of versatile actor Irfan Khan.

Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar, Akshay Kumar, Superstar Rajnikanth, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Priyanka Chopra, Ajay Devgan, Farhan Akhtar, Sunny Deol and whole bollywood industry is expressing their condolences to the family of Rishi Kapoor.

Amitabh Bachchan has confirmed about the demise of Rishi Kapoor.

Rishi Kapoor returned to India last September after undergoing treatment for cancer in the United States for almost a year.

He was hospitalized twice in February due to health issues.

The actor received the National Film Award for his debut role as a child artist in his fathers Raj Kapoor’s 1970 film Mera Naam Joker (1970).

He had his first lead role as an adult in 1973 with the film Bobby opposite Dimple Kapadia and received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1974 for the film.

Kapoor gave several hit films to Bollywood like Bobby, Amar Akbar Anthony, Laila Majnu, Rafoo Chakkar , Sargam, Karz, Prem Rog, Chandni, Heena, Karz, Bol Radha Bol etc.
