Ratan Tata donates ₹500 crore, Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar donates ₹25 crore to PM Care Fund

Coronavirus in India continues to wreak havoc ,  873 people have fallen prey to the disease in the country while 19 people have died so far. The country needs ventilators, masks and sanitizers for treatment right now. Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi appealed to all the countrymen to come forward and help. PM Modi has created the PM Care Fund to deal with coronavirus. He appealed to the countrymen to donate to it.

As soon as PM’s tweet, everyone in the country, from common to VIPs, are taking part in giving their contribution for this care fund. Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar donated ₹ 25 crore to the PM Care Fund within minutes of PM Modi’s appeal.

Akshay said, “This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodiji’s PM-CARES Fund. Let’s save lives, Jaan hai toh jahaan hai.”

One of the big industrialists of the country, Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata also announced donations from the Tata Group to the PM Care Fund to fight with this global epidemic. Ratan Tata announced an assistance of ₹ 500 crore in the PM Care Fund.
Ratan Tata also tweeted and said, “The COVID 19 crisis is one of the toughest challenges we will face as a race. The Tata Trusts and the Tata group companies have in the past risen to the needs of the nation. At this moment, the need of the hour is greater than any other time.”
